DIY Peanut Butter & Applesauce Frosty Paws

These 2-ingredient homemade frozen dog treats are one of my dog’s absolute favorite treats because they have their favorite ingredient- peanut butter and their favorite fruit-applesauce and they’re so easy to make!

The first time I made these DIY frozen peanut butter treats for Odin, he couldn’t give enough of them and every time I opened the freezer he would throw his ginormous paw at me begging for one.

He has a little bit of an obsession with peanut butter and I think the fact that it was a warm day, these were the perfect cool treat that he couldn’t get enough of.

Before I get to the easy recipe I just want to say that there’s really no right or wrong way to do these treats and measurements for the 2 ingredients will be based on how much you want to make and what size of silicone dog molds that you’re using.

Since I have a small dog and one big dog I used 1 tray of small dog bone molds and 1 tray of large paw molds.

Also, I used homemade peanut butter and homemade applesauce but you can use store-bought peanut butter (no xylitol) and unsweetened applesauce packs.

Our applesauce has Ceylon cinnamon in it so I didn’t add any additional cinnamon but if you have plain applesauce you can add a dash if you want!

You can skip the layering part if you want and if you’re using homemade peanut butter it might take a little longer to freeze.

Mine were pretty messy getting out but they stayed together and the boys didn’t seem to mind!

As a reminder, always make sure to introduce any new food to your dog slowly and check with your vet if you having any questions about the ingredients!
