Just in time for summer, these minty frozen watermelon dogsicle treats are a refreshing treat for your dog on a hot summer day and with the addition of a few mint leaves, they can help keep their breath nice and fresh!
Frozen watermelon is a classic treat for many dogs during the summer and with good reason!
Watermelon is about 92% water making it a great way to keep a dog hydrated on a warm day and it’s low in calories and packed with nutrients such as vitamins A, B6, and C, and potassium.
My dogs love a nice piece of juicy watermelon and they also love it frozen.
One of my favorite frozen dog treats is to combine watermelon and cucumbers and freeze it. I’ve been doing this for years and all my dogs have gone crazy over them and they smell SO refreshing!
Normally I just blend the cucumber and watermelon together and pour it into cute paw-shaped silicone molds but this time I added in some fresh mint and they turned out so good!
Here’s the easy recipe for these frozen watermelon dog treats if you want to whip up a small batch for your dog this summer!
